Web Browser Access

All of the employee self service tools are available from any web browser from anywhere that has the Internet. For the vast majority of your employees they will never need to install anything.

Application Access

The scheduling tool, payroll, and time clock tools work on any Microsoft Windows computer that is connected to the internet. The installation process is a one click setup and automatically updates itself each time it is launched. You may install as many copies at work or at home as you wish.

Reports

PlanIt offers an abundance of reports based on all aspects of the system with the majority allowing parameter input to customize which data is used when generating the report. Each report is a PDF with your organizations name and logo on it. These reports can be saved or printed.

Manage Employee Accounts

Administrators have total control over the creation and management of employee's PlanIt  accounts. You may create new accounts, modify existing accounts, change passwords, change usernames, etc at any time without the need to contact support.

Human Resource Data

PlanIt can store human resource data that is important to your organization. This gives you one place to keep and access information.

Supervisors

Employees can be marked as supervisors and assigned employees within the system. This allows your supervisors access to more notifications and functionality pertaining to only those employees in which they are a direct supervisor to.

Pictures

Every employee, job, platoon, unit, and station can have its own picture uploaded by you at any time.

24 Hour Clock

The public safety sector uses a 24 hour clock, and so does all of our software. All time displayed is in 24 hour time.

Open Shift Command Center

This feature is a list of all open shifts for each day up to 90 days in the future. Each open shift found here has an alert button where a notification can be sent out to ask for the immediate fulfillment of this open shift.

Open Shift Cutoff Date

With this feature PlanIt will automatically calculate open shifts from today until the selected cutoff date even if your schedules are not created out to the cutoff date.

Call Off Submitting

A list of today's shifts allowing approved employees to enter call offs as they are received for each day.

Call Off History

Call Off History can be shown for each employee and is stored permanently.

Court Appearances

Highly detailed court appearances are available to track through PlanIt. These appearances automatically show up on the schedule editor and employee's schedule.

Continuances

Court appearances can be continued in PlanIt to either a known or unknown date.

PTO Buckets

You may create PTO buckets for your employees and configure multiple settings at any time to fit your organization's needs.

PTO Accounting

An accounting view of PTO hours for each employee and their PTO buckets. Detailed history and tools to deduct or credit PTO hours can be found in here.

PTO Blackout Dates

Dates can be marked as PTO blackout dates and no additional PTO requests will be accepted on that date unless the request is created by an administrator. Each employee can see a list of the PTO blackout dates that apply to him/her when requesting PTO.

PTO Hide Credits

A feature that allows you to credit future PTO hours but hides them from an employee's view until the effective date is reached.

PTO Distribution Tool

A tool that allows you to credit a flat hour amount to a selected bucket to multiple employees. For example crediting sick days to all employees at the beginning of a new year.

Certifications Management

Certifications can be entered at a system level. This allows you to establish which certifications you track, which jobs they are required for, and when they expire. Your employees will fill in their own information from this list of certifications.

Certifications Command Center

The certification command center allows you to see expiring, expired, and missing certifications and with the click of the mouse notify the employee and supervisor to fix these problems.

Supervisor's Overview

An area for supervisors to see a snapshot of what's currently happening at your organization in PlanIt.

Platoons

PlanIt includes the ability to organize your employees using platoons. You may create as many platoons as needed and assigned employees to those platoons.

Unit Management

You may add and manage as many units as your organization needs at any time.

Vehicle Management

You may add and manage vehicles from within PlanIt for the purpose of completing vehicle check lists. Each vehicle is assigned to a unit.

Station Management

You may add and manage as many stations as your organization needs at any time.

Jobs

Jobs worked at your organization may be created at any time; each job has options like the certifications required, the labor department to bill to, and even special payroll rules.

Jobs Held

This tool allows you to associate employees and jobs. When an organization has defined who is qualified to perform jobs, PlanIt can use this to help scheduling and to make sure the employee has the proper certifications at all times.

Announcements

Administrators can create announcements to be viewed by all employees for a specified date range. These announcements will be displayed directly on the initial start screen each time an employee logs on.

Employee Groups

A feature that allows you to create as many groupings of your employees as you wish in any fashion. Employees can belong to multiple groups. When groups are set up, many features within PlanIt allow you to use groups, like PTO blackout dates and messaging.

Dashboard

Each employee when first signing into PlanIt is presented with their home screen called the dashboard. From the dashboard they can view activity alerts, announcements, quick access to common functions, and their current week's schedule.

Administrator Tool Bar

The administrator tool bar allows administrators to switch their view to that of a selected employee, allowing them to complete many common tasks as that employee if they are unable to do so.

Incentives Integration

Volunteer retention option that allows you to specify which jobs and employees qualify for incentives points. When an incentives employee is found working an incentives shift on your schedule points are automatically computed.

Incentives Processing

At any time, incentives processing may be run to credit hours from the schedule directly to employees' incentives page.

Walls

A wall is a simple communication medium for employees, supervisors, and schedulers. Each wall has different access levels as to who can see the wall. Currently we offer an organization wall intended for the entire organization, a supervisor's wall for supervisors only, a scheduler's wall for schedulers only, a platoon wall for each member of each platoon, and individual employee walls for administrators to track positive/negative incidents and call offs related to the selected employee.
